Taco Dip for Chips

This is a family recipe that we like to make at most holiday gatherings. It's a crowd pleaser.

  • 2 cans bean dip
  • 3 avocados
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • Taco seasoning, to taste
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 cup onions, chopped
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 can olives, drained (optional)


  1. In a small bowl, mash avocados with lemon juice, salt and pepper. Set aside.
  2. In another small bowl, mix sour cream, mayonnaise, and taco seasoning. Set aside.
  3. In a 9x13 pan layer the bean dip, then avocado mix, sour cream mix, tomatoes, onions, cheese, and olives.
  4. Serve with tortilla chips.
